You can rub it either in a straight or a circular motion and both will give different looks to your kitchen cabinet. It is preferable to apply paint on a small area at a time, so that you can wipe it off easily before drying. Wipe it with a clean cloth, which will leave a light layer of glaze on the surface. Trying the glaze on a small area also has the advantage of wiping it off completely, if you do not like the look. Once the glazing is done completely, leave the kitchen cabinet hardware untouched to dry. They will usually take few hours (8 to 9 hours) to dry completely. The time required for drying is usually given on the label of the product. Reinstall all the kitchen cabinet hardware only when they dry out completely.
